VAT Compensation Mechanism

 

Important Notice Regarding the VAT Compensation Mechanism:


In compliance with the Insurance Authority’s directives, we would like to inform our valued customers that policyholders and beneficiaries of insurance coverage are entitled to claim a refund of the Value Added Tax (VAT) only after the vehicle repair has been completed, in accordance with the approved mechanism outlined in Circular No. (233) and its addendum No. (316).

Please note that VAT compensation will not be processed prior to the completion of repairs, and that claims must be submitted in writing through the approved channels, along with all required supporting documents.

Before submitting your request, please ensure the following requirements are met:

  • Provide a copy of the final repair invoices, addressed to Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Company, including the following details:
  • VAT Number: 300278171900003
  • Commercial Registration Number: 7001641419
  • Address: Jeddah 21464
    • Ensure the invoice being issued by the repair facility complies with all requirements of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. For more information, please refer to the following link : What is e-invoicing?
