Third-Party Liability Insurance (TPL):

It covers the liability of the vehicle towards a third party resulting from any accident or danger by the insured vehicle, which is incurred by the owner of the vehicle or the authorized driver, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

Coverage of the Third-Party Liability Insurance

  • Civil liability towards the affected third party by the accident, up to a maximum of 10,000,000 (ten million Saudi riyals only)

  • Physical damage to the third party.

  • Physical damage to third-party’s property.

  • The death of the third party, according to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

 

Motor Comprehensive Insurance:

The comprehensive vehicle insurance provides comprehensive coverage for the insured vehicle which includes liability towards others, damage or loss to the vehicle from the risks of accidents, theft and others, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

 

Comprehensive Insurance Coverage

The maximum coverage for comprehensive motor insurance is determined by the value of the insured vehicle at the time of the accident, in addition to the civil liability towards the third party affected by the accident to a maximum of 10,000,000 (ten million Saudi riyals only) in accordance to terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

Additional coverages of the Comprehensive Motor Insurance:

Costs of Medical Emergency:

This additional coverage includes the expenses of medical emergency for personal injuries to the driver or passengers as a result of an accident in which the insured vehicle is involved, it also includes treatment expenses directly resulting from the accident.

Age Extension Coverage:

This coverage for the age group of drivers can be expanded to include those who are under 18 years old and hold a valid driving license for the insured vehicle, with an additional premium according to the age group chosen.

Personal Accidents:

This additional coverage includes personal injuries to the driver and passengers as a result of an accident in which the insured vehicle is involved, as well as medical expenses directly resulting from the accident, this can be with an additional premium on the basic insurance value.

Natural Disasters:

This additional coverage covers damages resulting from natural hazards such as hail and floods due to rain and storms. The natural disasters cover excludes sandstorms with the application of the bearing clause of this coverage.

Agency Repair:

The comprehensive insurance coverage can be expanded to repair the damaged vehicle at the vehicle’s authorized agent for an additional premium on the basic insurance value.

Provide a Replaced Vehicle:

In this additional coverage, the value of renting an alternative car is paid until the damaged car is repaired or the claim is settled. This coverage is according to the maximum agreed in the policy.

Geographical Expansion:

With this cover, the policy can be expanded to include damages to the insured vehicle for accidents that occur outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as personal accidents for the driver and passengers, which will be added with additional fees.

 

Requirements and Conditions for Obtaining a Motor Insurance Quotation – Individuals

Requirements

To obtain a motor insurance quotation, the following information and documents may be required:

  • Valid National ID or Iqama.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Valid Vehicle Registration (Istimara).
  • Vehicle details, including:
    • Vehicle make and model.
    • Year of manufacture.
    • Vehicle sequence number or Custom Card number, as applicable.
    • Estimated vehicle value / Sum Insured for Comprehensive Motor Insurance.
  • Any additional information or documents required for underwriting and risk assessment.

Conditions

  • The applicant must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information when requesting the quotation.
  • The quotation is issued based on the information provided and is subject to underwriting assessment and approval.
  • The premium, coverage, deductibles, limits, and applicable terms may vary depending on the vehicle details, selected coverage, and risk assessment.
  • The quotation is valid only for the validity period stated in the quotation.
  • Any change or discrepancy in the information provided may result in the quotation being revised or withdrawn.
  • Issuance of a quotation does not constitute insurance coverage. Coverage becomes effective only after the policy is issued and the applicable requirements are fulfilled.
  • The insurance policy is subject to the terms, conditions, coverage limits, deductibles, and exclusions stated in the policy wording and schedule.
  • Additional requirements may apply depending on the type of coverage, vehicle, or underwriting requirements.
